Grainne Farrell is Director and Chief Executive Officer of Senaca Group, appointed to this role after many years of service and dedication to the birth, growth and development of the company. Much of the growth and consolidation of the Group can be attributed to Grainne's long hours of work in the background while she built and managed the Administration, HR, Quality, Payroll and Financial Management infrastructure of a fast-growing company and ensured tight control of these areas. Her stewardship of these vital functions contributed greatly to our Clients' perception of the company as an efficient and responsive entity with which to do business.
Grainne personally ensures that Senaca Group remains fully compliant with the PSA licensing regulations and that our quality systems, training, vetting and licensing requirements for employees are fully functional and up to date. Grainne's calm and measured response when the pressure is on is often the guiding hand that ensures resolution and success for both the company and its Clients. Grainne provides hands on management support to every company unit and department within the Group.
Jim Farrell is Director and Chief Operating Officer of Senaca Group. Jim is responsible to our Clients and to the Board for the overall direction, management, control and quality of the Company's security operations, including Manned Guarding, Cash in Transit and Electronic Security services.
With 23 years military service culminating in his role as Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of Irish Army Special Forces Anti-Terrorist Unit the Army Ranger Wing, Jim brings a unique skill set to all Senaca Group operations. He is team focused and provides a wealth of experience in the development, management and implementation of customised security solutions across our operational activities and deployments.
Jim designed, built, trained and led the 500 man Security Team who were responsible for the successful delivery of the Corrib Gas Security project over an eight year period. This well-known project was the largest and most contentious security operation and contract in the history of the state.
David Dunne has recently joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer with responsibility for the finance function across the group. David is a Chartered Accountant having trained with Deloitte and he has over 15 years' experience in finance across a broad range of industries. He was most recently employed by Duff and Phelps where he spent over 5 years working in the property, asset management, enforcement, insolvency and restructuring fields.
Previously David held the position of Financial Controller for a property development group specialising in investment opportunities, property asset management and property development. David also managed a number of subsidiaries in the group based in the hospitality industry where he held responsibility for the finance function, operational management, human resources and strategic initiatives.
Richard Brophy joined Senaca Group in May 2009 as HR Administrator and he progressed over the years to the position he now holds as Group HR Manager.
Having driven the huge recruitment process required to hire, train, background vet, license and induct over 500 staff to service the Corrib Gas project he is an expert in the areas of security industry-specific compliance and general employment law.
Richard is also the Quality Management Representative and developed processes over the years including our HRIS system, employee handbooks and screening/background check processes.
Richard holds a CIPD Diploma in HR Management and various other qualifications including in the areas of ICT, Operations Management, Accounting and Payroll.
As the I.T and I.T Security Manager covering all divisions of Senaca Group, Keith brings IT and systems innovation future-proofing to all aspects of the business. With thirteen years' experience since qualification, ten of which were working in the security sector, Keith has been personally involved in the modernisation and enhancement of many of the traditional IT and electronic security services. Working closely with the managers and personnel, Keith believes that this accounts for his successes throughout his career. With his positive and can-do attitude to problem solving and attention to detail, he treats each security issue as a challenge and believes that every process has the potential to be improved.
Keith believes that adaptability is critical to the future of the electronic security sector and strives to build flexibility and adaptability into the systems he designs for Senaca Group and their Clients.
Joe is the Operations Manager for the Guarding Division of Senaca Group and brings a wealth of experience to the company having worked in the security industry since 1996. Prior to that, Joe completed a distinguished career in the Irish Defence Forces having served 28 years during which he completed 9 tours of duty with the United Nations, SFOR and KFOR in countries such as Lebanon, Bosnia, Kosovo, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.
Having spent much of his latter military career in passing on his skills and experience to new Soldiers and Officer Cadets in the Military College. Joe ensures a methodical and detail oriented approach to his organisational obligations. He takes a very hands-on approach to management and believes the key to success is maintaining a close working relationship with staff, ensuring that they are managed and treated in a fair and encouraging manner.
John is the Assistant Operations Manager Manned Guarding with 16 years' experience in the security industry. John has worked in Retail, Static, Door Security, Close Protection and Security Management. He has excellent analytical, project management and communication skills along with strong people management abilities achieving maximized efficiencies and increased customer satisfaction.
A strong team player and problem solver, John always applies himself to the task in hand. He works well under pressure, displays a high level of attention to detail has the ability to solve problems as they arise. John's strong customer service skills allied to his ability to motivate staff and get the best out of those he works with makes him a valued member of the Senaca Group management team.
Emily joined Senaca Group in April 2017 and is our Digital Marketing Manager who lives and breathes all things social media. She curates content for our various Social Media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. In the past, she has worked with Haute Couture Fashion Designer Jen Kelly as well as Newbridge Silverware. Emily holds a second class BA degree in Journalism.
Emily has been the driving force behind all of our most effective online marketing campaigns and her persistence and attention to detail have helped drive Senaca forward to where we are now.
Following a 25 year long and very successful career both at home and abroad in the Irish Army and Army Ranger Wing and as an instructor at the Military College, john retired as a Company Quartermaster Sargent. He controlled and ran a Brigade Logistics and supply operation serving the needs of 2600 soldiers providing everything from military vehicles to bootlaces ordnance and food, John joined Senaca Group as a Team Leader and Instructor in April 2009 at the commencement of the Corrib Gas project where his talents were recognised both in-house and by the client who requested that he also provide training (Occupational First Aid, Conflict Management and Security Awareness) for their management and staff who were exposed to risk on site. Promoted to Procurement Manager, John then took on the role of equipping the 400-man security team deployed on site with everything they needed from 11m RIB boats, busses and 4X4s to foul weather gear, power tools, radio systems and accommodation.
John is now responsible for every aspect of Senaca Group's logistics and supply chain from CIT vehicles and vaults to remote security services and monitoring equipment as well as uniforms and all the equipment necessary to ensure smooth security operations on the front line. He also manages Senaca Tech, the company’s electronic security arm providing these solutions to the business, institutional and commercial sectors.

Barry has been centrally involved for over 20 years in Security Management and Risk / Threat Assessment, Crisis Management, Business Continuity, security policy development, design, implementation and auditing of security operations, infrastructure and methodologies.
